Peter Tam
Coalition Engagement Director
Peter Tam (he/him) is a junior from Brooklyn, NY studying Political Science. Peter has been a part of CSG for the past two years, serving on the Academic Affairs and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commissions during his first year and then as an LSA representative on the Assembly his second year. He has also served as an elected representative in LSA Student Government during the 2021-22 year where he served as the vice-chair of the Judiciary Oversight and Election Code Subcommittee. As a representative, he advocated for a $15 minimum wage for students and academic accommodations during the pandemic. On campus, he is involved in the Model United Nations at UM as a director and serves as a Resident Advisor in South Quad. Peter is passionate about amplifying the voices of students, especially those that have typically been unheard and underrepresented. As Coalition Engagement Director, he hopes to provide a larger platform for students to voice their concerns to CSG, the university administration, and to the greater student body. Peter is happy to put his student government experience to use. Please reach out atpetertam@umich.eduwith anything!
