Winter term 2023 schedule
The SOFC funding application will open by Wednesday, January 5 and stays open continuously through Thursday, March 30. We will review applications submitted by 5pm on the application close dates for the corresponding wave.
All deadlines are at 5pm Eastern Time.

SOFC member openings
We are looking for more students to help student organizations at Michigan succeed! We are currently recruiting for general members of the Student Organization Funding Committee (SOFC). We allocate hundreds of thousands of dollars every year to all kinds of student organizations. This is a great opportunity to learn more about budgeting, finance, nonprofits, and so much more.

Take advantage of our drop-in office hours to ask questions or get an overview of our process and policies. You can visit in person in the CSG office on the third floor of the Michigan Union (suite 3011) or you can call us at 734-763-3241 during office hours to chat.

Ayden Makar
Chair
Ayden is a third year from Rochester, Michigan, studying Public Policy with a minor in Business. He is passionate about helping student organizations succeed and develop through campus resources. He enjoys spending time with friends, reading thriller novels, and kayaking.

Ethan is a fourth year from Nashville, Tennessee, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Classic Civilization. He is passionate about making funding more accessible and equitable. In his free time, he enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons or reading Ancient Greek literature.

Joyce is a third year from Hong Kong looking to major in Mathematics and minor in Economics. She is passionate about giving the student organizations around campus the resources they need to host events and have a positive impact on the campus community. When she has time, she enjoys drawing and swimming.

Noah is a second year from Baltimore, Maryland, hoping to double major in Economics and Cognitive Science. He is passionate about using funds to most benefit student organizations and the entire student community they are part of. In his free time, he enjoys long walks, cooking, and relaxing with friends.

Autumn is a fourth year from Marine City, MI studying psychology, education policy, and creative writing. She is passionate about advocating for students, helping them make a difference at the university. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the world and watching TV.
