Apply to be on the Central Student Judiciary!

CSJ is the judicial branch of Michigan’s Central Student Government, and is the highest arbitrating student body at the University of Michigan. We are seeking applicants from diverse backgrounds across the University community – we encourage graduate and undergraduate students from all degree programs to apply.

Work with the Assembly

If you are passionate about a particular issue, work with the Assembly to have your voice heard. 

​

Community Concerns – Sign up for a slot and talk directly to the CSG executive team and the Assembly at the meeting.

 

Write a resolution – Is there something you’d like to see addressed on campus? Work with your CSG Representatives to craft a resolution to start the conversation. Find your representative here.

Ex-Officio Members of the Assembly

There are 6 appointed Ex-Officio positions to the Legislative Assembly available:

​

  • First Year Undergraduate

  • First Year Graduate

  • Non-Traditional

  • International

  • Transfer

  • Pell Grant Eligible.

 

In this position, you will be responsible for attending the weekly CSG Assembly meeting held on Tuesdays at 7:30pm. You will be expected to serve as a non-voting member and provide insights on how items being discussed pertain to the group you are representing.

Interested in running for a seat?

Central Student Government holds elections twice each year.

​

The March elections are to fill all Representative seats on the Assembly, as well as the student body President and Vice President positions. 

​

The November election is to fill vacated seats from the March election. Candidate applications are now available until October 30!

​

We're seeking interested individuals to represent CSG on the Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT), the Campus Climate Support Advisory Board, and the Search Advisory Committee for the VP for Communications. â€‹
