Alisya Solankhi
Policy Advisor to the President on Accessibility (2022-2023)
Alisya Solankhi (she/her) is a first year Master’s student from Louisville, KY studying Social
Epidemiology and Population Health. Alisya graduated from Rhodes College in 2022 where she received her bachelor's degree in chemistry alongside a minor in history. During her undergrad, Alisya was an International Peer Advisor (IPA), focusing on advocating for international students’ rights and transparency between the administration and students. Alisya has held several political research positions interested in assessing youth voter turnout during the 2020 presidential election with the Decency Project. She currently works as a research assistant for the Louisville Health Department, focusing on equity in healthcare access. Alisya aims to apply this lens of equity into the formation of accessible policy, to also make sure that students are able to get what they deserve from the university.
