It is that time of the year again, where you will have the opportunity to make your voice heard directly through the CSG.
This Winter’s elections feature the following CSG seats, for a term spanning until late March 2022:

● School of Kinesiology (1)
● Law School (1)
● College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (15)

● School of Music, Theatre & Dance (1)
● School of Nursing (1)
● School of Pharmacy (1)
● School of Public Health (1)
● Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy (1)
● Rackham School of Graduate Studies (7)
● Ross School of Business (3)
● School of Social Work (1)
● Stamps School of Art & Design (1)
Your duties as a Representative in the CSG Assembly:
● As a Representative in the CSG Assembly, you are expected to act on behalf of the students in your school/college in bringing business and voting as a member of the legislative body. You are expected to attend full Assembly meetings each Tuesday at 7:30 pm as well as one of its legislative committee meetings each week.
Any student pursuing a degree in a school/college may run for election to your respective school/college’s representative seat(s). For those interested in running, more information will be available in an email within the next week.
Additionally, this Fall will feature one campus-wide election:
A seat on the UM Police Department Oversight Committee.
● The UMPD Oversight Committee is responsible for investigating grievances against UMPD officers and Act 330 officers employed by the University. This position is one of six voting members of the Committee. Please see https://hr.umich.edu/working-u-m/workplace-improvement/police-department-oversight-committee for more information.
● Any student may run for election to this seat. More information will be available in an email within the next week.
Need-based compensation fund:
In addition, there is a need-based compensation fund available for those students who would need it to work for CSG.
● Students who are Pell Grant eligible according to their FAFSA Student Aid Report, or would be eligible per that report except for their status as an international or undocumented student, are eligible for compensation for work performed as a member of CSG, including as a member of the Assembly.

● The election will be held from 12:00 AM on Wednesday, March 24th to 11:59 PM on Thursday, March 25th.
